What is JUPEB Progamme

The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a national examinations body in Nigeria.

The programme which was formally established in April 2014 got the Federal Government of Nigeria approval as a requirement for direct admission in December 2013.

The board has the responsibility of conducting common and standard examinations for her candidates who must have been exposed to a minimum of a ten (10) month approved courses in the different Universities.

The JUPEB programme is an advanced level program of 9- 10 months that allows interested candidate to gain admission into 2oo level of any JUPEB’s approved institution without writing JAMB UTME. JUPEB program is moderated by the University of Lagos and it is certified by the National Universities Commission.

JUPEB is approved by the Nigerian Univeristy Commission for Direct entry admission into 90% of Nigerian Universities.

Admission Requirements

To obtain JUPEB registration form, candidates are expected to possess at least five credit passes in their O/level results. Applicants without credit pass in either English language and Mathematics can also apply. However, they are expected to register for the either of the two.

Applicants with AWAITING RESULTS can also apply but their O’level result must be available before University admission as it will be required by their preferred university.
